InView Cognitive Index Assessment March 8th and 9th (Displays 2/24/2016)
Students in grades 2 and 5 will participate in the InView Cognitive Index Assessment. This standardized instrument is comprised of five mental ability assessments designed to measure the academic aptitude of an individual. PARCC Assessment Dates (Displays 2/8/2016)
Students are participating in the PARCC assessment on the following dates:
Grades 3-4: April 19, 20, 21; May 2, 3, 5, 6
Grades 5-8: April 12, 13, 14, 26, 27, 28, 29 (29th for 5th grade only)

STAMP Assessment Feb 24-25, Mar 3-4 (Displays 2/8/2016)
The 4th and 8th grade students will be participating in a web-based Spanish proficiency assessment. This assessment measures learning progress in the areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Spanish. The test is computer-adaptive, meaning that the questions are based on previous responses, becoming easier or more difficult as needed to determine proficiency level. The test will be administered with the child's Spanish teacher over a two day period. The 8th grade STAMP assessment will be February 24-25 and the 4th grade will be on March 3-4. District-wide Content Area Benchmarks Scheduled for Fall (Displays 1/4/2011)
To better evaluate and monitor student progress, many areas of our curriculum will undergo benchmark assessments during the fall months.
Students in grades 1-8 will once again complete Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) to determine instructional levels in mathematics, reading, and language arts. Teachers will measure individual reading levels using Fountas & Pinnell leveled reading assessments in the elementary school. Students in grades 3, 5, and 7 will take pretest benchmarks in the areas of visual arts, performing arts, technology and health. Science and Social Studies fall benchmarks will be completed in grades 4, 6, and 8. Through literacy classes, students in grades 3 through 8 will create fall writing samples to demonstrate proficiency measured against state benchmarks.
